Since 2021, UCC has operated as a paperless company, significantly reducing waste and resource consumption.
Research indicates that a traditional office with 500 employees can consume approximately 1.5 million sheets of paper annually. By eliminating paper-based processes, UCC contributes to the preservation of an estimated 180 trees every year while reducing the carbon emissions associated with paper production and transportation.

In 2023, our REbot sustainability initiative helped employees collect more than 210 kilograms of waste worldwide, equivalent to preventing approximately 7,000 plastic bottles from ending up in landfills.
Swapcom: Sustainability at Scale
While UCC continuously improves its own sustainability performance, the greatest environmental impact we create comes through Swapcom.
For the past four years, Swapcom has been helping retailers, manufacturers, and service providers transition toward a more sustainable and circular economy model. Today, the platform supports approximately 2,500 retail locations and has already facilitated nearly 50,000 product replacement and exchange transactions, significantly reducing unnecessary waste and extending product lifecycles.
These numbers represent much more than operational efficiency. Every successful exchange contributes to a more sustainable consumption model by enabling repair, replacement, refurbishment, and responsible product management instead of unnecessary disposal.
