After the mentoring period and evaluating the exam submissions the accredited teacher training program of Debrecen BSC Roundtable, which was held in August, was successfully closed. The training was completed by 12 teachers from the member institutions of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center (DSZC). The award ceremony of the certifications of excellence will be held on the second day of the Hello Profession – Road to Future conference organised by the DSZC, where the 9 member companies jointly known as the Roundtable will be present with their own booth.
We asked Éva Kissné Nyéki, project manager of DBSC Roundtable at Deutsche Telekom IT & Telecommunications Solutions (DT-ITS) about the event:
"We have launched the training in August 2020 as a Pilot, and it is accredited since Q1 2021 and organised jointly together with the University of Debrecen. The added value of the program is that it is an accredited training aiming primarily at high school teachers, provided as a co-operation in the BSC sector, which in this form is completely unique even on a European level.
The main objective of our educational co-operations is to show students what they can except from the business services sector, what jobs are available at the Roundtable members, but even more important is to make this knowledge available for teachers as well, since they are the first step during the career orientation of students. These programs are organically adapting to the teachers’ life career model since the participants receive credits after the courses. The current award ceremony is related to the training in August, during which 12 teachers acquired the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge for the industry."
Why this knowledge is required? As Éva says:
"During our trainings, we provide foundational knowledge material to participants which is useful on a daily basis at work. For example, project-based, or critical way of thinking, teamwork skills, basic knowledge of HR, and a comprehensive outlook on the business services sector. By involving the teachers in these trainings, they can effectively help students to select their career paths."
The DSZC’s "Hello Profession! – Road to Future" 2-day career orientation event will begin on Monday, 11 October 2021 with more than 70 booths, 7 conferences and interactive programs for the attendees. The main objective of the expo and the conference, to help students select a career, introduce them to the wide range of trainings offered by DSZC and outline the diverse scale of career paths awaiting those who continue their studies in a vocational school.
"Our co-operation with DSZC can be traced back as far as 2020. The nine companies co-operating in the Roundtable will be present with a 20 sqm booth where they provide interactive programs and gamification tasks based on the foundational competencies of the sector. We try to use gamification to introduce our guests – predominantly from middle and high school - what the companies we represent expect from future employees. So we can think of these two days as a sort of introduction to work-life for those who are still students."
The event will be held at six venues, at the Hall, the tent in front of the Great Forest Stadium (Nagyerdei Stadion), the second floor VIP room, and at three conference rooms with many exciting programs. The award ceremony for certificates will be held on Tuesday, at 11:30 CET. Participation for students and their guardians is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. You can register via the following form and you can find more information at the event’s Facebook page.
